Therapeutic Nursing

Therapeutic nursing is a holistic approach to care founded on the insights of anthroposophy.

By combining conventional medical knowledge with natural therapies, the whole human being is nurtured.

Therapeutic interventions include rhythmical body oiling (einreibung), organ compresses and foot baths. Warmth, compassion and presence form the basis of all care. These therapies work alongside conventional medicine to address a range of conditions, including: chronic pain, fatigue, stress, anxiety, insomnia, recovery from illness and digestive conditions.

Bodywork

Gentle hands on bodywork can guide the body to return to natural alignment. Over the course of our lives, sitting in chairs and cars, injuries, stress and traumatic events can disrupt the alignment of the body and pelvis.

Bodywork in pregnancy includes ligament and fascia releases through soft manipulation of the tissues.

Each session is individualised to the needs of the woman and baby using midwifery based assessments of baby's position. Sessions include at home follow up exercises to help maintain alignment.
